February 2013 Challenge: Office & Closets

The February challenge will be office and closets. This month's challenge won't have daily posts during the week, but 2 posts a week instead.

What are the areas you're having trouble organizing in your home office/desk area? What about closets? Comment below to let me know!

  1. The closet in our office has become the catch all for eveything that doesn't have a home. I had to get in there this weekend for the vacuum and, I had to shake my head, there was Easter eggs next to computer parts, which were on top of Christmas present boxes. Plus stuff has just been stacked upon other stuff. I dread opening the doors to the chaos. The job of organizing it all has become so daunting I keep putting it off each weekend.

  2. Our office has been a really big challenge for me. Basically, it's the second bedroom that has become my husband's computer room, my sewing and scrapbooking room, and the office/finance/filing area. The closet in that room holds craft supplies, special kitchen pieces like our china, and holiday decorations. The bathroom connected to it has become the extra laundry room in which we hang all of our clothes to dry. So, this room needs lots of special attention and organization. Hopefully I can follow along and get some inspiration to finally get it all sorted out!

  4. I love your blog!!!! My boyfriend and I own a landscaping company and I run all the office duties. Its hard to keep a home office organized and not a catch all for ALL mail, papers, odds and ends. I have trouble keeping the papers off the desk and need help organizing them. When we walk into our house its directly in the kitchen so we dont have an area for paperwork to go and I am trying to keep business and personal papers seperate. Its difficult! I am looking forward to more post on office organization. Always love seeing the new posts go up!

  5. My entry hall closet is a challenge for me. I feel like we keep too much winter stuff in there all year long, and the floor is covered in buckets of tools, and other important (but not properly stored) household items. I'd love to get things organized, pared down, and looking good in there!

  6. My closet problem is that I don't have them. :) I live in an old house and have had to be creative about how to store the stuff that usually goes in a closet. We farm and have lots of outside clothes this time of year. How would you handle that?

  7. You are a genius! I just moved in with my boyfriend. My apartment is the same size as his. The 4 closets I have are stacked to the top. That's pretty much the only storage I have. I need some ideas for organizing. I feel my house is so cluttered and its overwhemimg. Help! Any ideas for the pots and pans cabinet also. Jennifermusella@yahoo.com
