eMeals has teamed up with me again for 2013, and has tips that go along with those 3 general goal areas. Friday we focused on losing weight/getting healthy. Saturday we focused on getting organized. Today we focus on saving money.

Are you wanting to get your family on a budget this year? Use this simple budget form to get the process started. Fail to plan, plan to fail!
Chris and I have some serious student loan debt. It's not pretty. I signed up for Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover website and have already created our budget for January. I've set up all of our debts in the debt snowball tracker. We're going to do this.

I am a huge Dave Ramsey fan! Good luck with your debt snowball. Have you tried using mint.com? I love tracking my budget with it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband teaches Financial Peace University -- even if you have read the book ... I highly recommend going to FPU. You WILL get out of debt! Proud of you for working at it! (My kids are all doing the debt snowball with their student loans and are making good progress). Before long, you will be yelling, "weeeeeee'reeee debt freeeeeeeeee"!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the emeals blogs and the debt information. I am going to sign up for the Dave Ramsey info. But what is debt snowball and how does it work!! Keep it up! Loving this information!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I recently went through FPU. We were able to reduce $3,000 of our debt during the process by selling a dirt bike my husband was not using. We paid off my car, student loan (FINALLY) and a few other small things. We still have a way to go but it has really opened our channel of communication and reduced many of our heated financial discussions. 2013 is about following a budget! We wish you lots of luck with your journey!!!
