  1. I am SO excited about this giveaway. I LOVE Erin Condren products. I'm just dying for a Life Planner or one of her new Iphone covers...and I don't even have and Iphone. Ha! :)

I deal with my digital clutter by tackeling my emails right away. I used to have emails dating back for about three years and I finally just went and deleted everything I didn't need. I made a bunch of folders in my email to take care of everything that I want to keep. I only have about ten emails in my inbox (that require action in the next few days) and my digital life is so much better now. Email isn't so overwhelming to deal with.

  2. I deal with my clutter by having a super organizing filing system. Color coded for different things such as bills, manuals for stuff in the house etc. My husband laughs at me all the time about it. I try to deal with digital by deciding on the action and then filing as appropriate which works pretty well.

I had not heard about Erin Condren products before but after taking a look love them!!!

  13. I go through mail every day and immediately get rid of junk mail. This helps keep the paper clutter at bay. I have a step file on my desk that I use to sort bills, other mail, etc in and I sit down and go through it at least once per week. I can't stand clutter so I try to stay on top of it!

  16. I deal with clutter by cleaning things out every couple of weeks. I save things on my computer according to a special system depending on the seasons. I keep my filing box next to the counter where I always put my mail. It's a lot easier to file when I actually remember I have files! :)

  19. I just ordered an EC Life Planner and I can't wait to get it!

I'm working on my paper clutter now, trying to see what some beneficial methods would be good for me by getting ideas from various organization blogs (like yours!). I think I've found some really useful ideas, but now I just have to implement it!

Digital clutter isn't a real problem for me, I'm pretty savvy when it comes to technology and have a pretty clean and orderly system set up on my computer for pictures, documents, scans etc. :)

  22. I've dealt with Paper clutter cy calling the 800 number to remove my name from prescreened credit card offers. Junk mail goes in the trash. Other mail sits in our entryway for a couple weeks before I sort it and file the papers we save.

Digital clutter? I have a newish computer so it's still mostly clean..... Its so complicated keeping track of computer files.......

    My email is shekaehanson@gmail.com

  23. I try to abide by the "touch it once" method. Junk mail gets thrown away, bills get paid, and other documents are filed away.

  45. My biggest problem is paper clutter. I have a small file box on my kitchen counter for sorting incoming paper. It works great for bills, to file, to go menus, coupons things like that. My problem is the things I'm not sure about...things I might want to do or buy or whatever>if I put them in a 'maybe' file they sit forever..lost & forgotten in a file!

    ReplyDelete
  46. My biggest struggle is finding things when I need them. I finally just made a file for everything, so that everything had a place. If it doesn't have a space or require another file, it belongs in the trash (recycle). To cut down on the paper clutter, we make sure to open up our unopened mail the night before trash day. In general, Wednesday's are de-cluttering days.

  57. I have a filing cabinet in my office which is an absolute disaster, but I work on it when I can. Mail is probably our biggest problem and we have a two slot mail sorter "thing" and it's not very organized. 61. I love your blog! I handle paper clutter by keeping a recycle bin near all the areas of the home where paper accumulates, and I try to go through papers once a month. Instead of little pieces of scrap paper, I keep little notebooks all over the house to collect thoughts, ideas, reminders, etc...
As for digital clutter, I check my email at least once a day, and give myself time to read through everything in my inbox. When it comes to creating/downloading files, I make sure they go straight into the proper folder on my computer. I also set aside a few hours every couple of weeks to download my photos from the camera and sort and categorize them!

Keep up the wonderful work here, I love reading what you have to say.

  65. I have only been following your blog for the last month, but I love your tips. Most of the ladies out there have a house, but you live in an apartment like me, therefore I can relate a lot more with the lack of space issue, which is my main downfall in organization!

I am surprised that most of my paper clutter is school related, or craft ideas, or lists, lots and lots of lists. I barely get any mail, I`m sure most would be happy about that, but it kinda makes me sad haha!

I have A LOT more digital clutter though. The biggest tip you gave regarding that was that gmail has labels. HELLO, how did I not know this?! I now sort out my emails as they come in into the different labels, and star those I need to come back to.

I have done a few things for the paper clutter, like subscribe to e version of the one bill I had been delaying doing so. Also bought an other expandable filing folder, and am planning on getting a small version for everyday receipts.

    Thanks for this giveaway!

  71. I deal with paper clutter by destroying junk mail IMMEDIATELY, having a place for restaurant menus and coupons, and using my paper shredder regularly.

Electronic clutter is a little easier for me to handle. Pinterest and Google docs are super helpful. I have a serious naming system for all of my files. Finally, I use Read It Later to save a single article for reading while not bookmarking websites that I may not ever visit again.

  83. Hello! I like the nest effect on FB. Dealing with paper clutter by utilizing a file organizer with a magazine holder on side bought at target in a nice taupe color! Sitting right by trash allows us to get the mail throw out junk, file bills or important papers Nd then house the numerous catalogs and mags. I also have a file for my 5 yr olds school papers class roster etc

  84. I'm a follower here.

I deal with clutter at home by having several baskets or bins to organize various items. I have a mail basket, coupon/ad basket, basket for cameras/chargers/ear buds, etc. I file my kids' art work and art projects in a paper file to be put in a binder or tossed out later. In my kids room the little toys and books are sorted into bins. We try to only get them out when the other toys are all picked up. I try to have a place for every item in my home so picking up is a breeze.

As far as digital clutter I keep emails sorted into folders or delete them right away. Delete photos I don't want. I'm still working on sorting and storing photos online.

I also go through the mail everyday and recycle junk mail immediately. I keep a magazine holder in my bedroom and I never keep more magazines than can fit in the holder. I subscribe to your emails and I liked you on my facebook account. I just ordered a planner because I have been wanting one for over a year now! If I win I will buy my sister a planner. She's just like me and we love to be organized.

I don't have much clutter when it comes to paperwork. I have a slight OCD problem and I hate when my files arent in order. I have several binders I use for each topic needed. Expenses, School, and most recently Blog. I'm going to be starting my own blog. I've been very inspired lately. Thanks for the site. It's great!
