What a Mess

Okay, don't judge. The pictures in this post are of my current...umm...situation. This is months worth of build up. I need my energy back. This is ridiculously not me, and I can no longer tell myself it's because I'm too tired when I come home from work. Yesterday was my last day. Now it's time to job hunt for next school year. (Keep your fingers crossed for me!)

This is my first project for the summer. Organize, purge, file.

All of the stuff on the floor is from school. Half of it is printed centers that I need to cut, laminate, and store. It's all exhausting to look at. haha

I'll for sure document and share my organizing and paper clutter busting journey through this mess. Stay tuned!

P.S. My giveaway for Perfectly Posh Footsie Sets (3 winners!) ends this Sunday! Enter now if you haven't yet!

  1. My office looks the same, I'm teaching a new grade level next year, so I brought home curriculum to get familiar with it. Best wishes on your job search, I had to job search after my first year too. I can tell by your posts that you're fantastic, and any school would be lucky to have you!

  2. My office has a similar feel. It was the place I threw things throughout the year so the rest of my house would look nice. Now I need to clean and organize. Good luck with your job search!

  3. Is that the only school stuff you brought home? You should see the MASSIVE pile in my basement! We had to take all personal items home this year and the pile is disgusting! I plan to get rid of a lot of stuff this summer because most of it I don't use and it needs to go! Strangely enough I didn't hit the lazy point with my home this year before summer break. Usually I do. I think I was so unorganized at school this year that I didn't have a problem keeping up with the house until the end of the year. Good luck on the job hunt. I'm hoping to find something new for next year because I don't want to go back to my school.

  5. Good luck with the job hunt!
I have (finally) been given some cupboards in the office I share at school and have made the rule that nothing is going in there unless it is filed and useful! As a result I have a pile of stuff behind the couch at home, boxes of who-knows-what in the spare bedroom and loads of things under my desk in the office at school - slowly but surely!!!! I will be watching you closely for inspiration!

  7. Oh Girl, my desk looks like that on a regular basis. I have an additional problem in that I have four six foot tables set up near my desk and EVERYTHING gets piled on there. It's like the mess expands to accomodate the space available. Stinks. I wish you luck job hunting. The school that snaps you up is one lucky duck!
