Blog & Etsy Store and Holiday Planner Binders

In case you couldn't tell, I love binders. I think they're the easiest way for me to organize paper because:
  • it's easy to see everything
  • it's categorizable
  • I can punch holes in the paper
  • I can easily throw things away/replace things
My favorite binders recently have been from Target by greenroom. They're $6 a piece, which kills me (especially since I already have about 15 extra sitting around) - but they're beautiful, sturdy, and have the 3-ring clip on the binding. But if it's not a long-term binder, I'll just use one of the Avery ones I already have, which are also really great products.

Yesterday I created two more binders: one for my blog & etsy store and the other for my holiday planner.

Here's a peak inside:

holiday planner set available here

attached label with paperclips so I don't waste the envelope for 2 months

categories: calendars, cards, gift ideas, gifts bought, home

excuse the poor lighting in the following pictures!

blog & etsy store binder
categories: stats, orders, blog planners, etsy planners, ideas

stat calendar - I have one for my blog & one for my store
order log - the leaves are to hide buyer names =]

etsy store planner for the month

I have more docs in this binder, but I just haven't started to use them yet. I may end up putting this set in my store later on.

And here's where these new binder sit...with my loan binder and home management binder.

Are you as obsessed with binders as I am? How do you use binders at home/work/school?

  2. I love, love, love binders. I have a home management binder, a coupon binder, one for planning. My husband even uses a binder to store copies of his paychecks so that he can keep track of his hours at work. He's doing an apprenticeship that is dependant on hours worked so his binder keeps things nice and neat. Love your organization!

  3. I have a planner that is technically a binder (i use a franklin covey system), I also have a coupon binder, a recipe binder, a pinterestesque binder (ideas I have gotten out of magazines (instead of online like pinterest) that I want to save... i cut out what I want, stick it in the binder and toss the rest of the magazine). I have a few more binders I want to set up, but not done yet: projects binder and home management for starters.

Quick question: why do you keep track of your stats? And what do the abbreviations on the stat calendar mean... And where do you get that info from? my blogger host site (blogger.com like you) has a state page, that I check occasionally, I am still fairly new to the blogger world and was just wondering what your reasoning for keeping track of them and if you use the info for anything. (something I need to start maybe?)

  4. Hi Kristina -

I keep track of my blog stats to see what may spark more traffic/followers. I only started tracking stats last month and love doing it now. My letters stand for: RSS = # of subscribers for RSS and email feed / T = # Twitter followers / FB = # of Facebook likers / GFC = # of Google Friend Connect followers / PV = # of page views for the day.

For my etsy store I track # of page views, # of items favorited by customers, & # of sales.

Tracking your stats is just good insight for yourself if you want to increase traffic. I notice traffic increases when I have giveaways or super interesting posts. Blogger stats are insightful to also let you know where the majority of your traffic is funneling in from. You should definitely check it out.

  7. Thank you. I am moving next week, we finally are getting our own house. I can't wait!! But since I have been browsing your site...I think there will be a shopping spree in my future. I have a whole room I am setting up as my office/crap (my boys couldn't say craft :) needless to say the nickname has stuck). But I love binders and I actually think I have a box full of empty ones waiting for me to fill them someplace..

  8. Wowsers! I'm so excited to have found you (through Pinterest, if you're curious).
I'm newly married and therefore new to this whole "nesting" thing and I have recently stumbled upon Binders - it changed my life! I'm afraid I'm a little obsessed now, but I feel like I have a good grip on the little areas of life that can get out of hand.
I never thought to have one for my etsy shop and blog... hmmm. Excellent Idea!
    Love your blog ;-)
